Anna Lagia

Anna Lagia is a Research Associate at the Department of Biological Anthropology of the University of Freiburg. She holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Athens and an MSc in Osteology, Palaeopathology and Funerary Archaeology from the University of Bradford.
She has worked on the foundation of a modern reference human skeletal collection for Greek populations and has conducted bioarchaeological investigations in many historic and prehistoric sites in Greece.
She is particularly interested in the investigation of the socioeconomic, political and ecological factors that shape human lifeways. She has written on the history of bioarchaeology in Greece and has published in scientific journals and edited volumes on palaeopathology, taphonomy and mortuary behavior, diet and health.
